Carolina González-Cavazos is a PhD student mentored by Professor Andrew Su. Before joining Su Lab, she was a research intern at Caltech, focusing on autism spectrum disorder genetic variants. She completed her undergraduate studies in genomics at Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Currently, her thesis focuses on implementing graph neural network (GNN) explainability models in biomedical knowledge graphs. Carolina’s research aims to provide interpretable explanations that support the discovery of novel drug-disease associations.
