Mike was a graduate student who joined the lab in 2016. He graduated in the summer of 2020 and continues to contribute to the lab as a staff scientist. His research background includes methodology work in synthetic organic chemistry, analysis of C-H activation mechanisms via computational chemistry, and analysis of metaproteomic data from the microbiome of mice. He is currently interested in working on solutions to some of the problems of Big Data as it relates to bioinformatics.
